FAQs
Location
We are located at 444 Skokie Blvd in Suite 212 in Wilmette, Illinois. We are on the corner of Wilmette Ave. and Skokie Blvd.
First session for kids & teens
For in-person appointments, clients are welcome to relax in the waiting area and enjoy complimentary tea or water until greeted by their therapist.
For minors, we recommend that a caregiver attend the initial session to discuss presenting concerns at home and collaborate on treatment goals. For younger children, a dedicated parent intake session within the first week of treatment is also encouraged. We value close collaboration with families and schools to support the consistent use of therapeutic strategies across environments. Caregivers are typically invited to join the final portion of each session to review key skills and facilitate their integration at home.
Telehealth
We offer telehealth services for individuals residing in Illinois. All virtual sessions are conducted through our HIPAA-compliant platform, SimplePractice. Clients will receive a unique, secure link for each session, along with automated appointment reminders.
Session Length/Duration
Sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration. At the outset of treatment, we generally recommend weekly sessions to support rapport-building and the development of a strong therapeutic relationship. As treatment progresses, your therapist may recommend transitioning to biweekly sessions, with this decision made collaboratively based on your needs and goals.
Insurances Accepted
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (PPO/Blue Choice), UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Aetna. Our self-pay rate is $150 per session. For clients using out-of-network benefits, we can provide a detailed “superbill” that may be submitted to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please see our billing FAQ’s for more detailed information.
Cancellation Policy
Collaboration with Outside Stakeholders
We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments missed or changed without this notice may be subject to a $100 no-show fee.
We may request for a release of information on file to speak with outside stakeholders. For children and teens, treatment may include collaboration with schools/pediatricians/psychiatrist/other therapists to support consistency across settings. When this communication extends beyond a 10 minute check-in, it may be billed as a clinical service or charged out of pocket at a pro-rated amount.
