Katie Lynch Connolly, LSW
She/Hers

Specialties: Anxiety/Depression/ADHD/Kids/Teens/Young Adults

Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Missouri and her Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Katie leverages her experience as a teacher for over seven years in supporting her clients in various aspects of their lives.  Most recently, she worked at New Trier High School, working with general and special education students and families in developing executive functioning, cultivating social skills, and navigating life transitions. Katie also has experience addressing a range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD.

Katie’s interest in social work is rooted in her personal experience. Growing up in a large family on a close-knit block, she learned the value of observation, empathy, and advocacy, and was drawn to helping those around her navigate challenges. Early experiences with friends with disabilities inspired her to pursue special education and eventually focus on social-emotional growth and mental health.

Katie’s approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. She enjoys building genuine connections with clients, tailoring evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)  to their unique experiences, and helping them develop coping strategies, self-awareness, and confidence.

Outside of work, Katie is an avid swimmer on a master’s team, and she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time by the lake with her husband. She brings the same curiosity, energy, and grounded approach to her personal life as she does to her work with clients.
